Lisa Werner-Carey, an artist who seeks to bring the spirit and creativity into the practice of crafting, will facilitate this workshop where you will learn how to combine Japanese wrapping techniques of Mizuhiki Musubi with nautical knot tying to create a beautiful meditation stone. After the basic techniques are mastered, you will have freedom to create additional rocks adding more complicated or embellished patterns if you choose. You will leave the class with a few wrapped river rocks ready to be gifted or to grace your home bringing the beauty of nature into your living space. This workshop is designed so that people feel successful and proud of their creations, providing freedom for individual creativity but also enough structure that everyone will be comfortable with the process and results. Ages 14 and up; under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials will be supplied.
